Tolling's Long Tentacles... Your Tax Information
Rep. Susan McLain says she can look at your tax information...
In Short
Article 1 - We highlighted Representative Susan McLains’ tax comment from the W2D meeting on April 12th in our podcast. Now in this “What is Tax Information Privacy” paper are some facts about who may or may not have your tax records. Read the first section, then “How Tax Information Privacy Works” and “Frequently Asked Questions” sections.
Now ask yourself this question, “Do I want ODOT having access to my tax records? We might not have a choice.
Article 2 - If you feel you are not being heard, then reach out to the Joint Committee on Transportation. In the link provided you will be able to email each individual on the committee and ask them why they will not listen to any of the tolling bills.
This is the committee that Rep. Susan McLain is co-chair of and says there is nothing new in tolling bills therefore they are not moving them forward. We believe she might not be listening to her constituents. Click on the committee names and their email and phone number will appear next to their photo.
Article 3 & 4 - The Clackamas County Coordinating Committee (C4) sent a letter to Mandy Putney, the Urban Mobility Office Strategic Initiatives Director at ODOT. It is extremely well thought out and written. Very much worth a read.
Included in the letter, C4 cites where they found information in the EA Study. Note the bottom of the first page and into the second where C4 talks about the 100% plus increase in traffic. We have included the EA Study Transportation Technical Support mentioned. Click on that link below and enjoy the read from pages 62-64.
