In Short
This week in Oregon Tolling Updates…
Article 1 - The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) demonstrates how easy it will be to pay for tolling on I-205 and I-5. All lane transactions will be made electronically so motorist need not worry. If they have not prepaid for their toll ODOT will send them a bill.
Article 2 - Pamplin Media looks at The Vote Before Tolls Committee and its efforts to slow the tolling process down a bit. They want checks and balances that hold ODOT accountable. Of upmost concern is what a toll would cost (before tolling starts) and where the monies are going.
Article 3 - In the Spring of 2022, ODOT distributed a survey for the Regional Mobility Pricing Project. The results were released in September as the Spring 2022 Engagement Report. Note that this is a pricing project and not a survey regarding tolling implementation. While this survey is lengthy, we want to point out the Key Takeaways on pages 12-14.
There may be time we refer back to the Regional Mobility Pricing Project. It is filled with information of what is coming to all of I-205 and I-5 from the Boone Bridge to the Washington State border
Not in favor of this at all..Right now we have so many roads that have pot holes and need repaving we pay taxes to improve our roads one of them is hall blvd. In real bad shape. We should NOT have to pay more money to travel on 205 use our tax money stop sucking money out of us.
