In Short
This week in Oregon Tolling Updates…
Article 1 - This Pamplin article provides and interesting backdrop to Article 3… Questions and answers provided by ODOT. The narrative is not necessarily syncopated throughout the ODOT dialog.
Article 2 - The residents of Charbonneau get most of their commerce from the City of Wilsonville, a short 3 mile trip over the Boone Bridge on I-5. Most of these retired residents are making that round-trip 5 to 7 times a week or, in terms of future tolling, about $10 to $14 per week at a minimum rate of $2 per trip.
Article 3 - ODOT, on their site, has answers to many of the questions that have been asked over this past year. We find these interesting as many of the answers are not the same as those being currently touted. This begs us to ask… what is truth?
Article 4 - KOIN TV video on ODOT’s desire to hear from the public. There are less than 50 days to voice your opinion about tolling in Oregon. This video also outlines the plan to toll I-5 and I-205 from the Boones Bridge in Wilsonville to the Washington boarder.
Article 5 - This informational packet has links to the ODOT webinars that are currently available. In this document are links to how your opinion might be heard. And note that January 6th is the deadline for comments.
