This is INSANE! It's time to get these folks jobs to pay for their housing. This is due to the unhoused which many of whom chose not to work or be productive. I swear that if the State stopped paying for them to live on the street they would find an alternative to their living situation. Time for some tough love and stop enabling them. 😫😕

Thanks. Government RIP Off.

VOTING should be allowed on this.

Oregon had enough money to build the 135 million dollar Tillicum Bridge ---- NO cars allowed.

ODOT allowed some Supervisors to steal 6 million in equipment. But We can't afford our I-205 third lane.

The CRC ( I-5 to Vancouver) wasted more than 200 million dollars. The new plan is still 60 ft. too short for ship clearance.

The OSHU Tram cost 57 million dollars instead of projected 15.5 million dollars.

Our State has made some blunders.

The unemployment computer mess that also hurt many people.

The failed Health Insurance plan.

The new payroll computer "Workday" system, that is a disaster. 21 million. Oregon can't even pay their employees correctly.

Recent SCANDALS

OLCC rare bourbon diversion.

Oregon Secretary of STATE and Pot company La Mota.

Disgraced Ex Governor Kitzhaber.

Many Oregonians have no confidence in our Government.

Should we give them more BILLIONS of our taxes??

The State Constitution should be read and understood by these committee members.

Highway money cannot buy housing. Busses, trains, and separate bike lanes or trails cannot be built with Gas Tax, or Tolls.

Can someone put up a link to the email addresses of our Governor and state and Federal Legislators??

Play or look up the lyrics of the song Tax Man. Beatles, Gorge Harrison, 1966. U.K. was taxing the Beatles about 90%.

Great job reporting, Dan!

Not only is this a ridiculous waste of the people's money, voters need to remember that 86% of the tolling dollars ODOT demands, will go to the cost of collection.

The state's Chief Executive (Gov. Kotek) needs to replace Kris Strickler (ODOT) with a person who has some business sense combined with common sense!
